Abbe Stutsman, Executive Director
Abbe began work with Stories on Stage as a consultant, became a general manager in December, 2008 and became Executive Director in July 2009. She has broad-based experience in management, marketing, accounting and public relations. She has served in executive positions for over 30 years. Abbe has served as a community volunteer and board member for several non-profits, including I Have a Dream Foundation and Impact on Education. She has a B.A. from the University of Colorado.

Anthony Powell, Artistic Director
Anthony began his professional career as an actor, touring the U.S. for three seasons as a performer with John Houseman's The Acting Company. An Associate Artist with the Denver Center Theatre Company for eighteen seasons, he directed over 25 productions there, including Dirty Story, Wit, The Dresser, Racing Demon, The Leeane Trilogy, Love's Labour's Lost, Hamlet, The Tempest, Someone Who'll Watch Over Me and in the past two years, has directed Death of a Salesman and Lord of the Flies. He has acted and directed the The Arvada Center, Denver's Curious Theatre Company, Theatre Aspen and Creede Reperatory. He started at Stories on Stage as Artistic Director in June 2010. He received his BA from the Pacific Conservatory for the Performing Arts and his MFA from Temple University in Philadelphia.

OUR BOARD OF DIRECTORS
Theresa Keatinge, Co-President, earned her B.A. from the University of Denver with a double major in Art and Mass Communication. She has worked as a graphic designer since 1986, and at Holland & Hart in the Marketing/Client Services Department since 2001. Her Centering Prayer practice has been a passion since 1992, and she enjoys facilitating a weekly group that meets by conference call. Theresa and Bob Keatinge first connected at the DCPA’s “Absurd Person Singular” in 2009 and they were married in 2012. Theresa’s daughter, Alyson (Brown) Moros, works as a Financial Analyst at Northrup Grumman, in the satellite project area. Her husband and our new son-in-law, Tucker Moros, manages much of the day-to-day operation at Moros Fabrication, Custom Granite and Marble, in Boulder. By supporting the arts and sharing their passion with family and friends, Theresa and Bob hope to bring more compassion and empathy to the world.
Erica Stull, Secretary, is a public relations professional and former corporate communications executive. Past positions have included work at WOW! Internet, Cable and Phone; Colorado Public Radio; Adelphia Communications; and Jones Intercable. As the proprietor of Stull WordWorks, she currently offers freelance communications counsel, writing, and editing services to business clients. She has served as a volunteer for organizations including the Castle Rock Band, Bringing Music to Life, the Denver Press Club, and Cable Positive. Under her pen name, Erica Heath, she also wrote a business humor column, The Rubber Ceiling, for the Rocky Mountain News from 1997-2007. Erica earned her B.A. from the University of Colorado as a communications major.
Kay Taylor, Treasurer, earned her MBA from the University of Chicago in Finance and Accounting following her graduation from Vassar College, with a BA in mathematics. She has extensive experience in management and fundraising for non-profits including Ten Thousand Villages in Denver, Action for Children in Columbus, Ohio and the Department of Recreation in the town of Norwich Vermont. In 2009 Kay initiated and executed a year long story telling and photo project culminating in an exhibition at the French Cultural Center in Blantrye, Malawi, Africa. She enjoys independent films as well as all forms of live theater and improvisation. Kay devotes her time to serving on the board of Ten Thousand Villages and to Making Choices, a mentoring program which pairs women in prison and volunteers.
John Bardeen is originally from Racine, Wisconsin and got his BA in Speech Communication from the University of Wisconsin, Madison. He got a MA from San Francisco State and was all but a dissertation away on a PhD from the University of Denver. He was part owner of a tennis court & track building company for 22 years. His family developed the first pumpkin carving kit and he founded Pumpkin Masters which sold millions of sets that enabled people to carve intricate jack-o-lanterns. John has been on the boards of the Autism Society of Colorado, the Logan School, the Denver chapter of the Wisconsin Alumni Association and the Family Resource Centers. For leisure, he likes to golf, swim in his pool, attend live performances and be Grampa for his 4 grandkids!
Shirley Carnahan grew up in California and, like the lyrics to the John Denver song, moved to Colorado “in the summer of her 27th year”. Although she started her musical career on piano, violin, and viola, she eventually switched to early music (recorder, crumhorn, gemshorn, rebec, viola da gamba, harp) and is a founding member of the Boulder Renaissance Consort. She is passionate about Shakespeare and has been involved with the Colorado Shakespeare Festival every year since 1977 (assistant director, dramaturge, actor, music director, musician). She is a charter member of the Shakespeare Oratorio Society and has been involved in all of its productions. She is a past member of the Higher Education Advisory Council at the Denver Center Theatre Company and a current member of the Artist Series Advisory Board at CU Boulder. Just recently she retired from her beloved long-time profession as associate chair of and professor and advisor in the Humanities Department at CU.
Bob Keatinge is Of Counsel at Holland & Hart LLP. Bob has written and spoken nationally on the subjects of limited liability companies, choice of entity, taxation, business succession planning, fiduciary duties, and professional responsibility and liability. He has authored or co-authored two treatises and over fifty law review or bar journal articles on these business topics. He has taught business organization and tax law at the University of Denver Sturm College of Law, the University of Miami School of Law, Suffolk University School of Law, and Eötvös Loránd University Faculty of Law in Budapest, Hungary. Bob loves the visual and performing arts, particularly anything relating to Shakespeare. Most recently, he earned an Applied Shakespeare graduate certificate and studied Shakespearian Acting for Adults with Anne Sandoe and fellow board member, Shirley Carnahan, at the University of Colorado. Bob has served on the board of the Colorado Business Committee for the Arts (CBCA) and is Professional Responsibility Committee Chair of the Business Law Section of the American Bar Association. Bob has a son, Mike, daughter-in-law, Kym, and a granddaughter, Grace born in 2008. Mike and Kym are teachers in Denver and Jefferson County respectively. Bob’s daughter, Courteney, is Director, Environmental, Social & Governance Research at Glass Lewis & Co. in San Francisco.
Dana Mathes earned her B.A. in history from UC Berkeley. She is currently a principal editor in the University Relations department at her alma mater, where she writes letters urging her fellow alumni to give to Cal. Her varied career has included barista, grassroots organizer, wedding cake salesperson, and steward on party yachts that cruise the San Francisco Bay. For seven years, she worked in the marketing and development departments of California Shakespeare Theater — editing programs, planning major events, and running the theater store, among many other things.
Alisia Robin grew up on the western slope of Colorado in a family where reading aloud was a daily staple. She received her undergraduate degree from the University of Colorado where she ran for the track team and she earned a master’s degree in art history from the University of Denver. She currently works for Schwab Charitable, a national donor-advised fund where she partners with other nonprofits to develop tools and resources to help donors, advisors and nonprofits reach their charitable goals efficiently, effectively and with as much joy as giving to a good cause should give.
Linda Treibitz is recently retired from the financial software industry where she was a senior manager. Linda has a B.A. in Music from Pomona College, and an M.S. in Accounting from the University of Colorado at Denver. She has been on the board of Stories on Stage for the past 12 years and was a past president. Linda also has been on the board of Stepping Stones, an interfaith religious school program, and has been a Regional Chair of the Pomona College Alumni Association, as well as a past member of the college's Alumni Board. Linda has sung most of her life, most recently with Singers Master Chorale and 2nd Avenue Singers, and is a soloist and music leader with B'nai Havurah.
Teresa YoKell is the Vice President of Advancement at the Arvada Center for the Arts and Humanities. With a dedicated career spanning 25 years, Teresa has passionately fundraised for the arts and education, the two areas she holds closest to her heart. She earned a journalism degree from the University of Houston. She began her professional journey as a reporter for the Houston Chronicle, where she nurtured her love for stories and storytelling. Teresa enjoys reading, writing short stories, and hiking with her husband and two dogs in her free time.
Linda Roberts Zinn grew up in Connecticut (where she started taking "acting" lessons at age 7), started college in Virginia and graduated from N.Y. University with a B.A. in Fine Arts. Linda worked as a paralegal before going to Law School at DU, graduating in 1989. Linda is a passionate gardener and volunteer at Denver Botanic Gardens. She was involved with the Junior Symphony Guild for 15 years. Linda has enjoyed Stories on Stage for the past 12 years.
